“Il Marocco nelle nuove dinamiche mediterranee”

E’ stata una grande soddisfazione per me quando mi è stato chiesto se ero interessato a fornire alcune foto, scattate durante il mio recente viaggio in Marocco, per essere pubblicate in questo volume, risultato di una ricerca dell’Istituto per l’Asia ed il Mediterraneo (ISIAMED); presentato ieri alla Camera dei Deputati.

Il volume è un saggio di geopolitica sul ruolo del Marocco nelle dinamiche politiche e sociali dell’area del Maghreb recentemente sconvolte dalle rivoluzioni liberali in Tunisia, Algeria, Libia ed Egitto. L’obiettivo principale di questa pubblicazione è quello di diffondere in Italia, in particolare nel contesto politico, imprenditoriale ed accademico, una prospettiva di studio e di analisi sul Marocco contemporaneo, i suoi cambiamenti  e le sue prospettive. Il volume introduce la lunga ed affascinante storia del Marocco ed il suo rapporto con l’Islam. Viene poi fatta una ricca analisi sullo sviluppo economico e sulle nuove opportunità fornite dai numerosi nuovi cantieri aperti nel Regno. Gli analisti si sono poi a lungo soffermati sugli importanti cambiamenti culturali e sociali nel paese, soprattutto riguardanti lo statuto della donna, cercando di dare una risposta alla domanda: riuscirà il Marocco a porsi come faro guida contro il fondamentalismo nelle nuove lotte democratiche e liberali nord africane?

It’s been a great satisfaction for me to provide some photos taken during my recent trip to Morocco, to be published in this volume, resulting from a research by the Italian Institute for Asia and Mediterranean (ISIAMED); presentated yesterday at the Chamber of Deputies.

The book is a geopolitic essay on the role of  the Morocco on the political and social dynamics in the Maghreb area, recently shaken by the liberal revolutions in Tunisia, Algeria, Libya and Egypt. The main objective of this pubblication is to spread in Italy, particularly in political, business and academic contexts a perspective study and analysis on contemporary Morocco, its changes and its prospects. The book introduces the long and fascinating history of Morocco and its relationship with Islam.  ​An extensive analysis on the economic development and new opportunities provided by the numerous new construction sites in the Kingdom is presented. Analysts  focused the attention on the important social and cultural changes in the country, especially concerning concerning the condition of women, trying to give an answer to the question: will Morocco to act as a guiding light of the new liberal and democratic struggle against fundamentalism for all the north African?
